Seeking Public Input on Draft Hunt Plan

Cibola National Wildlife Refuge is accepting public comments from April 1st to April 30th on a draft Refuge Hunt Plan, Environmental Assessment, and Compatibility Determination.

The draft plan, environmental assessment, and compatibility determination propose to increase hunting opportunities through expanding hunting hours on some Refuge Hunt Units, adding huntable species to current Hunt Units, as well as opening a new hunt for Eurasian collared-dove.

The draft documents were developed after the refuge received public comments and input during a scoping process. The public is now encouraged to provide written comments on the draft documents. Comments collected will be incorporated into the final plan to the extent practicable.
