Like all National Wildlife Refuges, this refuge is carefully managed for the benefit of wildlife.

To protect wildlife and the habitat they depend upon, please be a good steward of your public lands:

  • Stay on marked roads and trails.
  • Pack it in, pack it out.
  • Practice “Leave No Trace” principles throughout the refuge.
  • Treat all wildlife with respect – and give them a respectful distance.
  • Protect yourself by carrying water, using sunscreen, and using caution and common sense.

Have any questions?  You can learn more at the Plan your Visit or Frequently Asked Questions section of this website. Always feel free to contact the refuge.
