Have you ever been curious what the world looks like from the point of view of a pupfish? Have you ever wondered where all the water on the refuge comes from? Come to the new state-of-the-art visitor center at Ash Meadows to find out! 

Visitor Center Hours 

Open Daily. Hours: 9:00 am to 4:00 pm (March 10-November 3, 2019).
                    CLOSED Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. 


Discovery awaits at the new Ash Meadows Visitor Center. This brand new facility offers visitors a chance to discover all the wildlife and wonder of the largest remaining oasis in the Mojave Desert. Home to at least 26 species of plants and animals that can only be found here, Ash Meadows is a biodiversity hot-spot located right next to Death Valley National Park, one of the hottest and driest places on Earth! 

Explore the interactive exhibits, watch the wonderful Ash Meadows movie, and support the refuge at the bookstore managed by the Death Valley Natural History Association. Come in and see us and tell us what you have seen out on the refuge!
