At Wassaw National Wildlife Refuge, Special Use Permits (SUP) are required, and must be obtained, in order to conduct any of the following types of activities:
Biological Research/Specimen Collection
Commercial Tours or Activities
Access to areas normally closed to the public
Any other activity the general public is prohibited from doing
If you are interested in conducting one of the above named activities on the refuge, we encourage you to contact refuge management at least one month in advance to begin the SUP process. If you are found conducting an activity that requires a SUP without the appropriate permission you could be subject to legal action.
For forms and additional information on Special Use Permits, please visit the National Wildlife Refuge System's SUP site.
For information on other types of permits, please visit the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service's permit site.
