What can I do there?  Enjoy wildlife-dependent recreation, including watching and photographing wildlife, hunting, fishing and environmental education and many special events.

What should I bring?  Wear comfortable walking shoes and be prepared for the cold/heat.  Insect repellent might come in handy and binoculars are recommended.

Can I bring my dog?   Pets are not allowed on the refuge.

Can I release wildlife/animals on the refuge?  Releasing an animal (wildlife or unwanted pets) on the Washita National Wildlife Refuge is illegal and subject to a fine.
