From its start in 1903, the National Wildlife Refuge System has owed its very existence to concerned citizens eager to protect America's natural resources.

Valle de Oro National Wildlife Refuge is currently seeking volunteers for a wide variety of activities.

Meet Antonio "Toby" Valdes, the Refuge's Partnership, Volunteer, and Youth Corps Coordinator!
Toby works to build and mountain strong relationships between Valle de Oro National Wildlife Refuge and its diverse network of partners. He also recruits and processes new volunteers and coordinates projects for our various youth corps.
