Sixth Annual Floods, Flowers and Feathers Festival

Eastern Kingbird 512x412Turnbull National Wildlife Refuge is hosting its 6th Annual Floods, Flowers and Feathers Festival in combination with Cheney MayFest on Saturday, May 13, 2017.

Enjoy spring by experiencing and learning about the exceptional wildlife, habitats, and geology of the unique Channeled Scablands landscape. Come join the fun on Saturday, May 13 in downtown Cheney and at Turnbull National Wildlife Refuge.

In partnership with numerous organizations, we are offering the 6th annual spring nature festival with free activities for families and individuals of all ages. Nature hikes, tours, photography, and bird walks will be provided at the Refuge. Information booths and kids activities will be provided by Turnbull and several partners in downtown Cheney at MayFest.

Join us in celebrating Turnbull's 80th birthday!  This will make for a wonderful spring day outdoors in this remarkable environment.

*Note- All activities at the Refuge are free; however, some require registration. To secure your spot for those refuge activities that require reservations, please contact Cheney Parks and Recreation at 509-498-9250 or register on line at: under special events.
