PROMO Intro SunsetTAR by AnneSwoboda 512x219Located a half-mile off the Oregon coast west of Oceanside, the three most prominent islands of Three Arch Rocks NWR—Finley Rock, Middle Rock and Shag Rock—are steep, slippery, and home to wary seabirds intolerant of human attentions. This refuge is best appreciated from afar.

Three Arch Rocks National Wildlife Refuge can be viewed from the mainland at Cape Meares and from Oceanside Beach, in the community of Oceanside.

To prevent disturbance to extremely sensitive seabirds, Three Arch Rocks is closed to public entry year-round, and waters within 500 feet of the refuge are closed to all watercraft from May 1st through September 15th.
