Law Enforcement officers at Rice Lake National Wildlife Refuge help with protecting the visiting public, visitor use areas, cultural areas, administrative areas, residential areas, wildlife habitat, and the wildlife resources. Law enforcement is provided by Conservation Officers from the Minnesota DNR, and Refuge Law Enforcement officers. 

Questions regarding Law Enforcement or violations on the refuge should be directed to the Refuge Manager.

To report violations:

  • Call or email the National Wildlife Refuge TIPs Line at 1-844-397-8477 or
  • Call the State of Minnesota's TIP hotline at 1-800-652-9093
  • Call the Federal Wildlife Officer at 612-283-8963

Please provide the following information: what happened, where it happened, who was involved (including descriptions/names of persons involved, vehicle information, names of other witnesses) and when it happened.
