Come out and join the fun! Go Wild offers exciting opportunities for all ages. From themed tram tours through the refuge to bluebird house building, you're sure to find something for everyone in your family. We hope to see you there!“Go Wild!” will be an exciting, fun-filled day packed with activities for all ages. Take a tram tour into the refuge; walk the 2.3 miles of nature trails; visit with conservation exhibitors offering information on local efforts; and participate in a number of events including a birds and binoculars scavenger hunt for children, nature walks, and birdhouse building. The Rappahannock Wildlife Refuge Friends Group will host a silent auction from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.For interested paddlers, “Go Wild!” will begin with a guided kayak and canoe tour of Mount Landing Creek from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. The tour, led by Gordon Page, will leave promptly from the kayak/canoe launch at the Hutchinson Tract at 10 a.m. Bring your own kayak or canoe; you must wear a life vest.For more information, contact refuge headquarters.
