Recreational opportunities at Ozark Plateau National Wildlife Refuge

Ozark Plateau National Wildlife Refuge offers a variety of engaging educational opportunities to connect people with nature.  These programs are available by appointment only. Please contact the refuge for upcoming programs or to schedule an educational program at the Mary & Murray Looney Education & Research Center near Colcord, Oklahoma.

To protect the delicate cave resources, the refuge is generally closed to public use except for certain planned events by permit only.  Entering the refuge's caves is not allowed because of the potential for humans to spread white-nose syndrome, a fungus that is deadly for bats.
