Hunting permits and entrance passes are required to hunt on Sam D. Hamilton Noxubee National Wildlife Refuge.  Deer permits may be purchased online by credit card only or at the visitor center with cash or check.  Standby permits for waterfowl hunts can be purchased online by credit card or at the visitor center with cash or check until the last hunt date.

Fishing, Small Game and Turkey hunt permits only the entrance pass and required State license is needed.  The fishing regulations are in the Hunting, Fishing and Public Use Regulation Brochure and can be obtained by picking up at the refuge office, display kiosk, hunt self-check station or online. 

 

Special Use Permits (SUP) enable the public to engage in legitimate wildlife-related activities and ensure that such activities are carried out in a manner that safeguards wildlife. Additionally, some permits promote conservation efforts by authorizing scientific research, generating data, or allowing wildlife management and rehabilitation activities to go forward.
