Become a Volunteer!

Volunteers play a vital role in helping the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) fulfill its mission of conserving, protecting, and enhancing America’s fish, wildlife and plants; along with the habitats on which they depend. As an FWS volunteer you can help with almost any aspect of the conservation effort, from biological assistant to an administrative assistant. Volunteers at National Wildlife Refuges perform a number of tasks that benefit the wildlife the refuges protect. Whether you are interested in learning more about conservation; enjoy working outdoors; are interested in natural resources; or simply want to donate your spare time to a worthy cause, being an FWS Volunteer is the project is for you.
