Caribbean Islands National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center:
(Cabo Rojo NWR)
    Monday – Saturday, 9:00 a.m.- 4:30 p.m.

Cabo Rojo Salt Flats Interpretive Center:
(Operated by Refuge Partner)
    Thursday – Sunday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Refuge trails: 
    Monday – Friday, 7:00 a.m.– 4:00 p.m.; Saturday, 9:00 a.m.– 4:00 p.m.

Note: The Refuge and Visitor Centers are closed on Federal holidays and occasionally experience weather-related or other unscheduled closures.

Directions: 
To Cabo Rojo NWR –
From Mayaguez, drive south on rte. 2 and exit to rte.100 towards Cabo Rojo. When rte. 100 ends, turn left onto rte. 101. Drive .8 miles, and then turn right onto rte. 301. Drive approximately 3 miles on rte. 301 KM 5.1 and look for refuge sign on the left.

To the Salt Flats Visitor's Center:
From Mayaguez drive south on rte. 2 and exit to rte.100 towards Cabo Rojo. When rte. 100 ends, turn left onto rte. 101. Drive .8 miles, and then turn right onto rte. 301. At the end of route 301, turn left and continue west on 301 approximately 4 miles and look for the tower on the left. Across the street from that tower is the visitor center.
