Partnerships

Partnership PicThe National Wildlife Refuge System is committed to building partnerships which encourage conservation and preservation of our natural and cultural resources.  Partnerships with the Refuge System bring innovative approaches to solving land management and water disputes in the most environmentally protective manner.  Scientifically-informed and technologically-based stewardship of our public lands, waters, wildlife and special places must be collaborative efforts between the Refuge System, other government agencies, and private organizations if conservation efforts are to succeed.

FAVOR Florida Keys, formed in 1997, is the 501(c)3 non-profit Friends group for the Florida Keys National Wildlife Refuges Complex.   Since that time FAVOR has supported the refuges in accomplishing their objectives through education, volunteerism, non-adversarial advocacy, and fundraising.  By supporting our Friends group either through membership or donations, you help the Florida Keys National Wildlife Refuges accomplish their mission.  Funds generated through membership fees and the sale of books and other educational items through the Refuge nature store fund refuge projects.
