FALL 2016 Times and Dates

 Final Dates for Red Sleep Mountain Drive:  Red Sleep will be open through Sunday, October 16 (weather and road conditions permitting). This is a 17-mile, one-way gravel road which gains 2,000 feet in elevation. We recommend you plan at least 1½ to 2 hours for the trip.

The Visitor Center will remain open daily through Sunday, October 16, 2016.  Hours will be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.  

You need to start Red Sleep Mountain Drive by 5:30 p.m. to be able to finish before the front gate closes at dark. 

The 14-mile roundtrip Prairie Drive is also open daily. There is two-way traffic along this route so please drive carefully.  This will remain open throughout the winter, weather and road conditions permitting.
Front Gate Hours 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Please note, gate times will change frequently as days get shorter through the fall and winter. Please check the sign posted at the front gate for exact times.


The Visitor Center will be open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. through October 16, 2016.  Winter hours for the Visitor Center have not yet been set.  For information about FEES, please follow the link (no fees are charged when Red Sleep Mountain Drive is closed for the season).

Be a safe and courteous drive and obey all posted signs.
