Welcome to Muleshoe National Wildlife Refuge

Headquarters for Muleshoe and Grulla National Wildlife Refuges:
The headquarters for the Muleshoe and Grulla National Wildlife Refuge is open from 8am to 4pm on weekdays. This is where the business of the refuge is conducted. Visitors can also pick up helpful information and flyers.

Enjoying the Refuge:
The refuge is open seven days a week, 24 hours a day. There is no entrance fee. It offers excellent opportunities to enjoy wildlife-dependent recreation, including wildlife watching and photography. County Roads 1248 and 1232 are open to vehicles. All interior roads on the refuge are closed to the public.

We recommend comfortable walking shoes, binoculars and a lunch if you plan on staying long -- there are no nearby restaurants.
