Blue Ridge Conservancy – Blue Ridge Conservancy is a leader in land conservation efforts, including bogs, in northwest North Carolina. 

Carolina Mountain Land Conservancy – A long-time partner in bog conservation, Carolina Mountain Land Conservancy has played a key role in conserving bogs in Transylvania and Henderson Counties.

The Nature Conservancy – The Nature Conservancy was key in the establishment of Mountain Bogs National Wildlife Refuge, by donating a conservation easement on land they owned in Ashe County, N.C. TNC has long been a partner in bog conservation in the Southern Appalachians.

North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission – The North Carolina state wildlife agency is heavily engaged in bog turtle conservation and has worked closely with the Service to coordinate bog conservation efforts .

North Carolina Plant Conservation Program – This North Carolina state agency is heavily involved in conserving the state’s rare plants, including bog species.
