About the District
Law Enforcement
The Law Enforcement program at Minnesota Valley Wetland Management District is designed to help visitors enjoy the district and understand and obey wildlife protection laws. District law enforcement officers work closely with state and local government offices to enforce federal and state hunting regulations that protect wildlife from illegal take and preserve legitimate hunting opportunities. Officers also play a role in the successful management of district lands and maintaining high quality visitor experiences.
Questions regarding law enforcement or violations on the refuge should be directed to the Refuge Officer at 952-858-0711 or 612-708-3765. Wildlife crimes may also be reported to the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources TIP hotline (24 hours a day) at 1-800-652-9093 or by dialing #TIP from your cell phone.
