Youth Conservation Corps
The Northern New Mexico National Wildlife Refuge Complex, which includes Las Vegas (Las Vegas, NM), Maxwell (Maxwell, NM, and Rio Mora (Watrous, NM) National Wildlife Refuges hires Youth Conservation Corps (YCC) crew during the summer. The program employs four area youth. The YCC is a nation-wide program designed to help develop and manage natural resources and provide some familiarity with conservation practices while giving teens work experience. Participants must be at least 15 years old and cannot reach 19 during the term of employment. Inquire at the refuge for more information.
