Student Conservation Association
Kofa National Wildlife Refuge routinely hires Student Conservation Association (SCA) Interns. SCA Interns are offered the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the management of the refuge, develop new skills, and learn about the ecology of the Sonoran desert. Past SCA Interns have participated in bat counts, performed camera trap maintenance, assisted with the Sonoran pronghorn captive breeding program, helped with environmental education efforts, and much more. If interested, check the SCA website regularly for new listings.

Youth Conservation Corps
Young adults between the ages of 15 and 18 can join the Youth Conservation Corps (YCC). YCC programs are conducted for eight to 10 weeks during the summer. Participants develop an appreciation for nature and have the opportunity to acquire new skills in natural resource management.
