The present list includes a total of 1,952 species: 206 vertebrates, 681 invertebrates, 494 vascular plants, 181 bryophytes, 361 fungi, and 29 unicellular organisms. Of these, 1,861 are considered to be native, 87 species are considered to be non-native, and four species are represented by both native and non-native populations. In addition, 17 non-native species are believed to have been extirpated from the Refuge.
