Permits Hdr Pic

State hunting and fishing licenses are needed for all hunting and fishing activity on the Refuge as well as a Refuge permit. Refuge hunt permits are required during scheduled hunts regardless of age. A refuge public use regulations brochure must be obtained and signed for all hunting and fishing on the refuge. See this Regulations Brochure link.  Hunt permits are $12.50 each and are available on-line. Check the refuge website late summer for a link to purchase hunt permits. The public use regulations are free and available at all refuge kiosks, refuge check station or may be printed from the Refuge web site and signed.  See this Regulations Brochure link.

Special Use Permits:

At Holla Bend National Wildlife Refuge, wildlife comes first. For this reason, Special Use Permits are needed for certain activities such as:
• ATV use for Mobility Impaired users
• Biological Research
• Commercial Fishing

Permits are subject to review and approval by the Refuge Manager. Therefore, if you are interested in conducting one of the above activities or another activity not normally allowed on the Refuge, we encourage you to contact the Refuge one month in advance of your work or activity to begin the paperwork. Visit the National Wildlife Refuge System web site for more information on Special Use Permits.
