Refuge Programs for Kids
On the third Saturday of each month, the Friends of Hagerman and Refuge co-sponsor "The Refuge Rocks" free nature programs for children ages 4-7 and 8-12. There is a different topic each month and the group usually takes a short field trip and/or creates a nature craft. The programs are free, but space is limited and registration is required. Please visit friendsofhagerman.com/Youth for more information or to reserve space for an upcoming program.
Special fishing events for youths are held each year and the refuge always welcomes Boy Scout, Girl Scout, 4-H and all other youth groups. To schedule a program for a youth group or find out more about upcoming events, call the refuge at (903) 786-2826.
