Partnerships

Savanna Sunrise

Grand Bay National Wildlife Refuge is committed to building partnerships which encourage conservation and preservation of our natural and cultural resources. Resource management, education, and outreach efforts at the refuge are often performed in collaborations and partnerships with local, state and federal partners.

Grand Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve

The 10,188 acres that make up the Grand Bay National Wildlife Refuge partially overlays the Grand Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve (NERR). Together, they protect nearly 18,000 acres of relatively undisturbed wildlife habitat.

The Grand Bay NERR, established in 1999, is managed through a unique local, state and federal partnership designed to promote estuarine research and education within Mississippi's Coastal Zone and its adjacent ecosystems. To learn more about Grand Bay NERR, please visit their website.
