Grand Bay National Wildlife Refuge regulations are designed to protect and preserve natural, scenic and wildlife values and to enhance public safety and enjoyment of the refuge. The following is a general summary of refuge regulations:• Keep a respectful and safe distance from wildlife.• Removal of plants, animals or archaeological material is prohibited.• Pets must be leashed and under control at all times.• Hiking is allowed on designated trails only.• There is no camping at the refuge, however, camping can be found at nearby Shepard State Park in Gautier, MS (call 228-497-2244 or visit their website for more information)• Refuge trails close at dusk. • For the safety of both visitors and wildlife, please respect all posted closures.
