Every Friday, Detroit River International Wildlife Refuge hosts a fishing event we call “Fishy Fridays”! Come to our fishing pier and try your luck, with the assistance of our staff. Times rotate every week, with morning and evening times. Bait and rods provided, but feel free to bring your own as well. All ages and experience levels welcome! Open houses at the Gibraltar Bay Unit of Detroit River International Wildlife Refuge are a free-form afternoon of exploring and encountering nature. See the changes from week to week as summer plants come into full bloom. Enjoy a nice stroll along the trails taking in the sunshine and fresh air, or capture some amazing photos of the wildlife!
