Agents of Discovery

Use your mobile phone to play this game to learn about nature! These virtual and real adventures take place at the Humbug Marsh Nature Trail and at the new fishing pier at the Refuge Gateway. But you can also play from home!

How to Play

1. Download the FREE Agents of Discovery app from the App Store or on the Google Play Store.

2. Open the app.

3. Login to your account, or create a new account if you are a new agent. *You do not need an account to play, but you will need to create an account if you want to save a history of the missions you have completed.

4. Tap "Missions" at the home screen. The app automatically finds the missions that are closest to your location if your phone GPS is turned on. If you don't see the closest missions, use the magnifying glass at the top of the page to search "Detroit River International Wildlife Refuge."

5. Open the mission you wish to accept. If you play at the Refuge the Mission "challenges" are GPS-triggered. As you move along the mission route, your mobile device will alert you when you get near the location of the next challenge. If you are playing at home, just follow the prompts within the Mission.

COVID-19 precautions: Have a fun and safe visit, but make sure you follow all social distancing guidelines when completing your missions!

Agents of Discovery missions can be found at refuges, parks, nature centers, and museums all over the United States and Canada! Look for them when you travel, or visit the Agents of Discovery website for a list.
