For Educators

We want to build a partnership with your school in hopes that we spark a "sense of wonder" and a passion for conservation in your students.

Within the Cedar Keys National Wildlife Refuge, one of our islands, Atsena Otie is especially good for the study of marine life. There is a shallow beach that's perfect for seining; treasures like shrimp, small fish, jelly fish, seahorses, and other critters can easily be netted for study. Call the Refuge office at 352/493-0238 for a free, no hassle Special Use Permit.
