Partnerships Hdr Pic

Partnerships provide significant support and strengthen the mission of the Cape Romain NWR. Coastal Expeditions, contracted concession, is one of several partners for the refuge, providing interpretation and education of our natural and cultural resources for refuge visitors.

 Friends of Coastal South Carolina

The Friends of Coastal South Carolina, Inc., is a non-profit corporation formed in 1996 to support the missions of the Cape Romain National Wildlife Refuge (USFWS) and Francis Marion National Forest (USFS). The Friends Group began its service by opening a book sales outlet at the Sewee Center when the Center opened in December 1996. The Friends Group is a major partner as it supports biological projects and internships, provides funding for interpretive exhibits and activities, and delivers innovative and excellent education programming. The Friends Group also partnered with the Ernest F. Hollings ACE Basin and Waccamaw National Wildlife Refuges to expand the education outreach of these stations.
