 People are attracted to the Refuge because of its beautiful vistas, diverse habitat, and abundant wildlife. These features also set the stage for exceptional educational and recreational opportunities.
 


Wildlife viewing is available throughout the refuge. The 8 mile long wildlife drive takes you along the Green River as well as to wetlands observations and through upland and grassland habitats. A variety of species such as river otter, beaver, black-tailed jackrabbits, osprey, Great Basin gopher snakes, songbirds, Woodhouse’s toad, waterfowl, deer, moose and elk inhabit this area.
