Hiking

Hiking Trail Browns Park NWR 512 x 219

Hiking is permitted throughout the Browns Park National Wildlife Refuge, so park your car, and do some exploring on foot. Please avoid disturbing animals by getting too close. You know you are approaching too close when animals stop feeding, when they stand up after they have been resting, when they change their direction of travel, or when they turn and start moving away.

A one mile foot trail starts at the office parking lot and follows Beaver Creek where it loops around a homesteader cabin.  Seasonally, songbirds and moose can be found along this trail.
