National Wildlife Refuge Week Celebration: Celebrate your National Wildlife Refuge System! A week of fun wildlife-related events and programs taking place on National Wildlife Refuges across the country. This event is typically held the second full week of October.

Migration Celebration: Held in April, the Annual Migration Celebration is hosted by the Friends of the Brazoria Wildlife Refuges and the Texas Mid-coast National Wildlife Refuge Complex. Come out to this free event and spend the day celebrating migrating!

Christmas and Spring Break Family Days: Need something for the family to do while on school break. This family-friendly event brings some of the hands-on environmental education activities to all visitors. Take a peek at the micro world or learn about our reptiles up close and personal.

Christmas Bird Count: From mid-December into January thousands of volunteers across the country take part in this popular citizen-science program! Join the effort! Brazoria NWR is included in the Freeport Christmas Bird Count Circle and is held the first Sunday of the Count period. The Freeport count ranks among the top ten counts in the country for number of species observed.
