Harvesting Prairie Seeds

Volunteers play a critical role in fulfilling the mission at Boyer Chute National Wildlife Refuge by giving countless hours assisting with conservation efforts, maintenance, wildlife and habitat management, special events and a number of other everyday refuge activities.

Volunteers do many different things around the refuge such as helping maintain trails, refuge cleanup, checking nest boxes, assisting with bird counts, prairie seed collecting, working with school groups, and many, many other activities.
