Educators - Schedule your self-led visit to Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge today!

Self-led Field Trips

A class trip to Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge can be fun and exciting. We suggest visiting the refuge prior to the class trip to get a better understanding of where trails and observation points might be. We request that you contact us at least three weeks before your desired date to avoid conflicts with other groups, habitat restoration, or other projects underway in the area to be visited. Self-led education groups must stay in areas open to the public.

Some groups from bona fide educational institutions may qualify for an education fee waiver which waives the entry fee for the Tour Loop. Groups will need to describe how their refuge visit supports a specific curriculum.

Some groups may qualify for a bus scholarship through the Friends of Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge.

Download and complete our environmental education/fee waiver/bus scholarship form, or Contact us for more information.
