Directions, Address & Contact Information

Black Coulee National Wildlife Refuge is located in north central Montana, 10 miles south of the town of Turner. From U.S. Highway 2, turn north onto Highway 241 out of Harlem for 21 miles to the Turner Colony. At the Turner Colony, turn south onto Black Coulee Road (gravel) for 5 miles to the refuge.

Refuge Hours: The Refuge is open for public use from dusk till dawn, except during hunting season when hunters are allowed reasonable time to access hunting areas when arriving before dawn and when leaving after dusk.
