Update: 9/17/2021

Water levels in unit 2C are now at fall target level, and water is flowing into units 3J and 3I.

Update: 9/15/2021

The Refuge is currently replacing water control structures in units 5C and 5D and is unable to fill unit 6 until the work is completed later this fall. Because of this project, the Perry Boat Launch will remain dry until the structures are replaced and available water is directed into unit 6. Replacing the aging water control structures is necessary to address safety issues and to make it easier for maintenance to add water into units 5C and 5D.

Update: 9/12/2021

Severe drought conditions continue, but with recent rainfall, the Refuge is directing water into units 2C, 3B, and 1A. Unit 2D is at fall target level. This is in time for fall migration and the waterfowl hunting season, which opens October 2 for Northern Utah Zone. Northern Utah Waterfowl Youth Hunt is this Saturday, September 18. Other Refuge units will be filled as water conditions permit.
