Law Enforcement

Refuge visitors who obey the law should feel confident their actions will have little or no negative impacts on habitat or wildlife populations.

National wildlife refuges are governed by Title 50 of the Code of Federal Regulations.  In addition, other federal, state, and local regulations apply on refuge lands.  Refuge Law Enforcement Officers are the primary enforcers; however, other federal, state, and local law enforcement officers may have jurisdiction in some situations.
