Refuge Hours

Visitor Center
Open from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm daily.
Closed on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.

Headquarters Office
Open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Closed on all Federal Holidays.

The Headquarters Area (Boynton Beach) trails, boat ramps, and other outdoor facilities (including the A, B, and C Impoundments) is open daily from 5:00 am to 10:00 pm. Night use is strictly prohibited. The remainder of the refuge is open 24 hours.

Entrance Fees

NOTICE: On October 1, 2019, changes to the refuge's recreational fee structure have been implemented. Read the full news release here

An entrance pass is required for all visitors to the Refuge, including the Headquarters Area, Hillsboro Areas, and 20-Mile Bend Areas. You may obtain a pass at the self-pay station, seasonally at the fee booth, or at the visitor center from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm daily. All passes admit the passholder and any accompanying passengers in a private vehicle. The fee for the pass is waived if the visitor is in possession of an annual or lifetime pass, which are available at the entrance fee booth and Visitor Center. The refuge accepts payment in the form of cash or a check.

$25.00 Federal Duck Stamp (valid July 1 – June 30 at all National Wildlife Refuges)

$80.00 Annual Pass (Valid for one full year from month of purchase)
$80.00 Senior Pass - Lifetime (Lifetime pass for 62 years of age and older)
$20.00 Senior Pass - Annual (Annual pass for 62 years of age and older)
FREE Access Pass (Lifetime pass for permanently disabled individuals)
FREE Every Kid Outdoors (Annual pass for 4th grade students. Valid Sept. 1 – Aug. 31)
FREE Military Pass (Annual pass for current active duty armed service personnel)

Commercial Van or Bus Fees*
$25.00 for up to 25 passengers
$50.00 for 26 or more passengers
