Entrance Fees

All refuge visitors are required to pay an entrance fee. Refuge entrances are located at the Headquarters Area in Boynton Beach, the Hillsboro Area in Boca Raton, and 20-Mile Bend Area in Loxahatchee. Entrance fees are waived for visitors entering the refuge on foot, bicycle, or horseback; or if the visitor is in possession of a current and signed annual or lifetime pass. All passes admit the pass-holder and any accompanying passengers in a private vehicle. Money collected is used to directly improve visitor experiences and assist with the cost of providing safe and meaningful experiences to refuge visitors.
