Visitor Center Operations currently suspendedOpen from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm daily.Closed on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.Headquarters OfficeOpen from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.Closed on all Federal Holidays.The Headquarters Area (Boynton Beach) trails, boat ramps, and other outdoor facilities (including the A, B, and C Impoundments) is open daily from 5:00 am to 10:00 pm. The Headquarters area is closed to public use from 10:00 pm to 5:00 am daily. The remainder of the refuge is open 24 hours.
All refuge visitors are required to pay an entrance fee with the following exceptions: Entrance fees are waived for visitors entering the refuge on foot, bicycle, or horseback; or if the visitor is in possession of a current and signed Federal Duck Stamp or America the Beautiful Interagency Pass. All passes admit the pass-holder and any accompanying passengers in a private vehicle. Money collected is used to directly improve visitor experiences and assist with the cost of providing safe and meaningful experiences to refuge visitors.Online Pass SalesRefuge annual and daily digital passes may be purchased online before entering the refuge and displayed on a mobile device or printed out for display. Buy Your Pass Online!Onsite Pass SalesRefuge annual passes, Federal Duck Stamps, and America the Beautiful - National Parks & Federal Recreational Lands Passes are available for sale (cash or check only) at the Headquarters Office from 8am-4pm from Monday to Friday. Ring the bell on the door by the flagpole and someone will come out and assist you. UPDATE: Starting Monday, April 19, 2021 all passes will be sold from the Lee Road fee booth in Boynton Beach between 11am-6pm daily. The refuge accepts payment in the form of cash or a check. Make checks payable to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Daily passes can be purchased online or at all three entrances. Refuge entrances are located at the Headquarters Area in Boynton Beach, the Hillsboro Area in Boca Raton, and 20-Mile Bend Area in Loxahatchee.
Commercial Van or Bus Entrance FeesA commercial tour entrance fee is charged based on the seating capacity of the vehicle. The fee is $25.00 for up to 25 passengers, and $50.00 for 26 or more passengers. Please contact staff at least two weeks in advance to avoid conflict with other groups.
