TISHOMINGO, Okla. – The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (Service) invites public review and comment on a renewal of an existing Compatibility Determination (CD) for the Tishomingo National Wildlife Refuge in Tishomingo, OK. This CD includes the proposed use of walking, hiking, and jogging on roadways and trails.

A compatibility determination describes the circumstances under which a refuge use or activity would be allowed. When a compatibility determination is accepted, it means a proposed or existing wildlife-dependent use has been found appropriate for the site and is consistent with the missions of the refuge, the National Wildlife Refuge System, and the Service.

The CD is available for public review and comment from March 30 to April 13 here and at the refuge visitor center. Hard copies are available at the refuge visitor center. Please submit any comments via email to R2_plancomments@FWS.gov. For questions about the Refuge, please contact the Refuge Headquarters at (580) 371-2402 or visit the website.
