What is the Pollinator Challenge? A challenge to USFWS Regions to include pollinator conservation and education in ongoing activities. Each Region earned points during the Challenge period for these activities.

The 2014 Pollinator Challenge broke the mold of previous challenges! Instead of awarding to an overall Champion Region, the Challenge recognized champions in 3 areas:

  • Pollinator Education: Las Vegas National Wildlife Refuge, New Mexico
  • Pollinator Management: Austin Ecological Services Field Office, Texas
  • Pollinator Science: Don Edwards San Francisco Bay National Wildlife Refuge Complex, California
 

Over all, Service employees led over 380 education
and outreach events and activities:
