(Peromyscus polionotus allophrys)
Found in South Walton and Bay Counties

Due to the influx in requests for individual lot reviews, the US Fish and Wildlife Service will only review parcels currently seeking building permits from Walton County until streamlining efforts are in place.  If you are seeking to build on a lot, the FIRST thing you need to do is visit the Walton County Planning website to determine if you are in the revised CBM habitat area.  Click for step by step instructions to navigate through the Counties' interactive planning map. If you are in the CBM habitat area, please fill out this checklist and email it to us.  Also incorporate these conservation measures into your project.  We will get to your request as soon as we can.

We are also working on streamlining efforts with Walton County that should be available within the coming weeks.  This should allow for the County reviewers to provide this information to applicants with their County permit and not require direct individual coordination with us.
