The Pacific Islands Fish and Wildlife Office has compiled general and species-specific conservation measures that can help avoid or minimize project impacts to threatened and endangered species.

 

  • Animal Avoidance and Minimization Measures

    The following measures are recommended to avoid or minimize project impacts to threatened and endangered animals - including bats, birds, turtles, and invertebrates - in Hawai'i and the Pacific Islands.

  • Water Quality Recommended Best Management Practices

    If fresh or brackish water resources are located within or adjacent to the project site in the Pacific Islands, we recommend applicable best management practices for work in aquatic environments be incorporated into the project design.
