Scientific Collecting Permit for Raven Take in Baker County, OR – ODFW

The U. S. Fish and Wildlife, Division of Migratory Birds and Habitat Program, has drafted an Environmental Assessment that analyzes a scientific collecting permit application from Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife (ODFW) to take Common Ravens in Baker County, Oregon.  ODFW, in collaboration with Oregon State University (OSU), proposes to study the effect of lowering the population density of ravens on sage-grouse populations, and to compare the effectiveness of lethal and non-lethal techniques for lowering raven density.
