Thousands of pollinator plants to restore SW Oregon monarch habitat

Fish and Wildlife Service staff joined the crew from the Lomakatsi Restoration Project to plant thousands of pollinator and nectar plants to restore monarch habitat throughout Southwest Oregon. Monarch advocates are planting milkweed and other native plants to create a network of connected sites on both public and private land for these highly-mobile and migratory butterflies.  Thanks to our partners at the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation’s Monarch Butterfly Conservation Fund, their grant dollars will do much to improve habitat conditions.
