    SAFETY FIRST

    • The eclipse is happening during the height of wildfire season in the West. Each refuge, just like other public lands in the West, may need to change plans with little or no notice in order to protect public safety. Restroom facilities may be limited, and not all refuge facilities will have water available in all areas. Please come prepared, including food, water, medicines, eclipse glasses and proper attire. Our refuges are open from dawn to dusk, and there is no overnight camping/parking available.
