Disabled Veteran's Affirmative Action Program

As an ongoing policy, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service continues to provide opportunities for Disabled Veterans within every aspect of the Service's mission. Overall, the Service continues to develop a strong working relationship with the White House and the Department of Veteran's Affairs through partnerships with Veteran-related committees. The Service also maintains continuous relationships with and sends vacancy announcements to Veterans' groups; and works closely with managers and supervisors to fill positions utilizing the Veterans' Reemployment Act and 30% Disabled Veteran Hiring Authority.

The Disabled Veteran's Affirmative Action Plan is authorized by

Title 5 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Subpart C of Part 720
