The Norm Dicks Visitor Center will be open during normal business hours, Wednesdays through Sundays, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Plan Your Visit

Environmental Education Program for school and other youth groups
The Environmental Education program for school and other educator groups will resume for Billy Frank Jr. Nisqually National Wildilfe Refuge which involves a reservation process, scheduling by the Education staff, and onsite curriculum in the Education Center.

Refuge Introduction Walks held on Saturdays at 8:30 a.m.
Would you like to know what a National Wildlife Refuge is and why one is established? Or, are you interested in learning more about the Billy Frank Jr. Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge and the natural world it encompasses? If this is the case, join an expert volunteer or refuge ranger on a fun and easy interpretive program to explore the diverse habitats within the Nisqually River Delta and seek out birds, mammals and other wildlife. No reservation required and the program is free except for the Refuge entrance fee. The walk will meet on Saturdays at 8:30 a.m. at the Refuge’s Norm Dicks Visitor Center. Please come dressed for the weather. Most programs have a duration between one to two hours.
