Guided Tour at Timber Point in Biddeford, Maine
In 2011 the Rachel Carson National Wildlife Refuge acquired Timber Point and Timber Island including the Main House and associated buildings in Biddeford, ME. These buildings are the subject of an upcoming Environmental Assessment for which we are seeking public comment. While these buildings are usually closed to the public, we are pleased to invite you to a guided tour of the Main House and nearby buildings. Wear appropriate shoes, as the house is located at the end of a dirt road, and vehicles are prohibited. The house is not universally accessible. We hope to see you there!

Parking is very limited: please try to car pool, walk, or bike.
Note: Access to the buildings is closed to vehicles. Visitors must walk the trail leading to the structures.
Directions to Timber Point Trailhead
From Route 9:
Follow Route 9 until you are 5.4 miles north of Cape Porpoise.
Turn right onto Granite Point Rd for 2.0 miles.
The trailhead is located at the end of the road.
