Laurel Hill Wildlife Drive Closed for Repairs

Structure 15--Promo Intro Large

The Laurel Hill Wildlife Drive at Savannah National Wildlife Refuge is closed until further notice, as crews continue to repair a water control structure that was damaged during Tropical Storm Irma. The closure includes all foot, bicycle, and vehicle traffic on the drive, as well as all associated trails.

An announcement will be made by the end of this week if we will be able to open the drive for the upcoming weekend. Please monitor this website and our Facebook page for updates.  We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience and support as we work on these critical repairs.

Harris Neck NWR (which also has a wildlife drive), as well as Pinckney Island NWR (walking and bicycling only) remain open daily from sunrise to sunset.  Please visit those refuge's websites for details and directions.
